Is the media lying to us?

Nowadays we cannot live without media, everyday we switch on the television to see the news, we ready the newspapers and we surf on the internet websites to search some sensational headlines. All of this is like an addiction. But why we do this?

Our lives are full of work, study and obligations and we have the sensation that the time is passing so fast that at every minute we need something to fill up our empty souls, some information, entertainment, etc.

We can see in advertisings that if we have this or that car, if we buy this or that food, we can finally be happy. But why am I not being happy with my car? Because you do not have the new version, ahh ok I can understand now. And the history is always the same.

The news media today competes with the movie and entertainment industry for the people audience, so it has adopted the same techniques, the same colour and gloss, showing to us only one side of things with some bright and sensationalism.

The conclusion is that information provided for media is mostly consists of half-truths and lies about everything. What the purpose of these lies? To keep the asses among masses under control of course. Think this, think that, vote X, vote Y.

George Orwell wrote in 1984, that who controls the past controls the future. It is not entirely truth; nowadays we can say that who controls the media controls the past and consequently controls the future.
