I have never imagined that one day I will meet a person as peculiar as Andre. I do not know what baffled me most about him: was it his memory, his talent for the sea, his talent for the technology things or his talent for music? What I certainly know is that his talent for teaching everything at every time is the most impressive thing.
I know that Andre’s life was full of difficulties with a very serious illness and instead of complaining about all the things that life gives to him, he preferred smile and go ahead living life to the full. He is always in the centre of things, either by showing the ordinary side of things, or by teaching the difficulty ones. His is capable to turn an apparently insoluble problem into a very simple solution: he is very creative person.
Passing from the air to the water he wasted his time learning all possible things that he could. He knows how to pilot an airplane, how to sail, how to do a computer program and how to find star in the sky for localization purposes, with all impressive details. He is not afraid of doing different things: he is very brave! One of the most striking things about Andre is arguably his memory that is infallible; he is capable to talk about mythology and meteorology with the same fluency. At the first eye he seems an ordinary person, but after one word we stay speechless with all the knowledge and all the humanity in his strong voice.
I know that his knowledge about the world and the things is very profound giving both sides of the same thing. To most people surprise he is an emotional and thoughtful despite of all the knowledge that he has. We are always telling Andre that he is not an ordinary person but an especial person whose purpose is show us at very moment the bright side of life. It is like nature decided to place on Earth a person like him.
